Adult Psychology General adult psychiatric unit, for ages 18 and older, treating a variety of behavioral health diagnoses, as well as many medical comorbidities. An acute care treatment program that provides interdisciplinary care for patients. Treatment is short-term and focused on stabilization, with the goal of returning the patient to a less restrictive setting. Predominant diagnoses are depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.
Child/Adolescent (Psychiatry) Acute care treatment program providing interdisciplinary care for our patients ages 5-18 that provides 24-hour care for young people experiencing mental health crises. Treatment is short-term and focused on stabilization, with the goal of returning the child to a less restrictive setting. Medical Surgical A 40-bed unit that provides comprehensive care to oncology patients, bariatric surgical patients, as well as general surgery and medical patients. Patients are seen in a supportive environment where they are offered the latest advances in surgical and chemotherapeutic intervention.
Medical Telemetry A 34-bed unit that offers a supportive environment focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialized training. The patient population can include conditions such as asthma, diabetes, seizure disorder, or rhabdomyolysis.
Surgical SpecialtyThis unit has 33 private, non-telemetry beds. It serves as a diverse patient population including those undergoing orthopedic, neurosurgical, general surgery, colorectal, urological, and medical treatments. The unit plays a key role in Prisma Health’s Total Joint Program, caring for the majority of patients receiving total hip and knee replacements, as well as spine surgeries.
Cardiac Telemetry A 21-bed unit that provides care for a diverse adult patient population with a primary diagnosis of cardiovascular disease who require close nursing observation with cardiac monitoring. Patient diagnoses include CHF, chest pain, cardiomyopathy, pacemakers, acute myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, and stroke patients not requiring thrombolytics.
Adult MultispecialtyA 49-bed unit with cardiac telemetry monitoring capabilities. Patient population is a combination of medical and surgical patients with common diagnoses of sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, asthma, surgical, stroke, diabetes, congestive heart failure and chest pain evaluation.

General Medicine
The General Medicine Unit provides foundational nursing practice in medical/surgical patient care. Patient care opportunities include wound care, transition from step-down acuity, pre/post-surgical care, respiratory care, and end-of-life care. There is a collaborative staffing model to include RNs and LPNs in a 38-bed unit.

Opportunities to uptrain to LTAC ICU which encompasses 12 additional ICU beds.

This 21-bed unit is the step-down unit for CVICU & CCU. The primary population consists of patients who have undergone cardiothoracic surgical procedures including CABG, Valve replacement, TAVR and LVAD.

Care for primary diagnoses to include CHF, MI, cardiac arrhythmias and treatments to include procedural and pharmaceutical interventions.

The patient population consists of 100% observation patients (patient stay of less than 24 hours) with primary diagnoses of CVA/TIA, chest pain/acute coronary syndrome, as well as a wide variety of other disease processes.

Nurses on this unit are specially trained to administer peritoneal dialysis to patients on the unit and throughout the hospital. This unit provides acute care for medical and surgical patients along with telemetry monitoring capabilities.

This 20-bed Heart Failure Accountable Care Unit (ACU) is the first in the nation with the goal of reducing the 30 day readmission rate for heart failure patients through patient education and reinforcement of self-care behaviors from staff. Patients are typically experiencing acute heart failure decomposition who may require organ transplantation or mechanical support.
