Your First Day

Your first day is all about connection and orientation. You'll meet your leader and/or clinical orientation team, receive your badge and any necessary equipment, and start learning about our systems and values. Whether you're clinical or non-clinical, we'll ensure you have everything you need to begin confidently. You will receive a welcome letter from our clinical orientation team with your schedule if your position requires clinical orientation. These emails go out no later than the Friday before your start date. Clinical orientation will be held during the day for all team members, regardless of shift assignment. If you are a non-clinical team member, you will receive communication from your hiring leader with your orientation schedule.

Part of this role is the professional image that team members present to patients and the community in their work. To ensure that the image is consistent throughout our facilities, Prisma Health has standards of appearance guidelines. These guidelines recognize the diversity and uniqueness of each of our team members, creating an inclusive environment while maintaining professional image standards.


Please wear your approved uniform to your department. No leggings, shorts, or jeans. Please review the attached document for dress code information, along with details on scrub shops and payroll deduction. If you have any additional questions, please contact your manager. 

Network Access

Your Prisma Health network account provides access to all systems you will use at work. You can complete this step after 8:00 am the morning of your start date. Check your personal email for instructions on activating your account. Your leader will determine what equipment you may need. This will be provided after you start. 

Badge Photo Instructions

Your badge photo will be taken at your Employee Health appointment. If your picture wasn't taken at your appointment, you can email a photo to  Badge.Security@prismahealth.org. Please review the attachment for instructions on taking a picture. Your badge will be available to you during orientation, either on-site or at a pickup location.
